Shipmate Projects

We all have pet projects, causes, efforts, activities, etc. that we are involved in. In my case, my involvement in the IT industry is specifically in software documentation and web development activities and that's what I do for a living on a contract basis so if you need services of this type, please contact me. To provide an avenue for fellow shipmates to advertise their projects, I have created this page as a means to provide an advertisement mechanism for former shipmates. I'm restricting this section to only former John Marshall crewmembers.

If you have something you wish to advertise, please send me the details and I'll be glad to put the information in the following table. I've chosen an arbitrary 6-month purge time. After 6-months from the post date, the information will be deleted. If you wish me to repost it, please send me the information again and I'll be glad to repost. The following general "rules" are:

1. Open to former crewmembers only.
2. We are sub sailors and pictures are worth a thousand words. For the item, send a picture if possible and for the description a short description using small words; after all, we're sub sailors.
3. A PG rating will be strictly enforced. I do vaguely remember the Horse and Cow and off crew parties; after all, we're sub sailors.

I've always had a problem with novels that attempted to explain how the Mark of the Beast would come about. It seems that, invariably, within a few pages of the beginning of each book, some magic event would take place. Sometimes people simply disappeared into thin air. Sometimes planes fell inexplicably out of the air. Then there are the seals, horsemen, and candlesticks for which everyone has an explanation. If we choose to do nothing, the Mark of the Beast will take place. Of that, I am certain. However, by our actions, we have some control over when such events will take place. And after these events take place, if there are any human beings left to tell the tale, the explanation will be secular. The “survivors” will realize that there was no magic involved, only that we were all too collectively blind to see that the Beast was within us from the beginning.
