George R. Leonard, age 65, of Westerville, Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at home. Retired Senior Chief Machinists Mate, U.S.N. and retired Facilities Engineer for the Ohio Historical Society. Life member of United States Submarine Veterans. Member of Fleet Reserves, Sunbury VFW Post and American Legion Post 171 in Westerville. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Patricia Leonard and sister Kathryn Leonard. Survived by loving wife of 43 years, Joyce; sons, Wayne (Rose) of Sunbury, Chris of Westerville and Mark (Kem) of Galena; grandchildren, Rachel Lilly and Jessica Leonard, both of North Carolina, Kevin Wallace of Reynoldsburg, Dustin Wallace of Galena, Benjamin, Joseph, Joshua, Emily and Abby Leonard, all of Galena, Autumn Leonard of Westerville; sister, Dorothy (William) Powell of Westerville; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Rd., Westerville, Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, with visitation one hour prior to service.
