We Remember...Robert Treggett

Bob Treggett went home to be with the Lord at 8:00pm on 8/23/08. He had a very peaceful passing and his siblings, daughter, sister-in-law, and nieces were present, as well as me, his wife. A memorial service will be planned for approximately one month from now to allow those who want to attend to be able to make travel arrangements. Bob's daughter Cindi is staying with me for a couple of days and we are both doing very well. Our shipmate Bob qualified in USS John Marshall (SSBN 611) in1968 and was a MM1(SS) when he left the service. He joined USSVI Seattle Base in 2005 as a life member. The last activity he was able to join in with us was the Bremerton Parade earlier this year. He wanted to attend our recent Tolling the Boats ceremony in Kirkland WA, but was too ill to do so. Bob was a good and Godly man, and had well prepared himself for his passing. Mesothelioma, a cancer that is almost exclusively caused by exposure to asbestos, took his life at 64 years. He will be missed.
